Out of an initial field of 27 candidates, three semifinalists will interview for the position of Davenport Fire Chief next week. The semi -finalists include one internal candidate and two fire service chiefs from the Midwest.     In alphabetical order, the semi-finalists are: Michael Carlsten District Chief, Davenport, Iowa Fire   Donald Kaderabek Deputy Chief, Bloomingdale, Illinois Fire  

Pavement and sewer improvements on E Locust St between Kenwood Ave and Eastmere Dr are anticipated to begin on Monday, April 30th. Work will begin with stormwater and sanitary sewer improvements, followed by removal and replacement of the asphalt overlay. At least one lane of travel in each direction on E Locust will be maintained at all times during construction. Side streets along this stretch will be closed at Locust for the entirety of the project.

Division Street Closure Between Florence & Lombard

Beginning Wednesday, April 18th, Division St will be closed between Florence and Lombard for an emergency sewer lateral repair. It is estimated work will be complete on or by Monday, April 23rd.Motorists are advised to follow signed detour. A detour map is not available at this time.
