DES MOINES, IOWA (August 14, 2023) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird has announced her appointment of Leif Olson as Chief Deputy Attorney General. Olson is a graduate of Trinity University and the University of Chicago School of Law. He recently served as Chief of the Special Litigation Division of the Texas Attorney General’s office and currently serves as Deputy Attorney General for Special Litigation, leading the Farm and Freedom Division, in the Iowa Attorney General’s office.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 10, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced her appointment of Samuel Langholz as a judge on the Iowa Court of Appeals.  Langholz, of Ankeny, Iowa, serves in the Attorney General’s Office, where he is currently the Chief Deputy Attorney General under Attorney General Brenna Bird and was previously the Assistant Solicitor General under Attorney General Tom Miller.
