DES MOINES, IOWA (June 9, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced the US Small Business Administration (SBA) has granted her request to provide assistance in the form of low-interest disaster loans for residents and businesses impacted by the partial building collapse of The Hotel Davenport Apartments.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 8, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced up to $1.5 million in grant funding to enhance health-care service delivery throughout Iowa by supporting Centers of Excellence with a focus on innovation and collaboration. The Centers of Excellence are innovative care models that specialize in specific areas of medicine, offer a variety of services and treatments, and create regional access to specialty care.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 8, 2023) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate announces nineteen Iowa schools qualified for the Carrie Chapman Catt Award this school year. The award goes to schools that register at least ninety percent of their eligible students to vote. More than 2,600 high school students registered this year in conjunction with the Catt Award initiative.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 7, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has sent a letter to President Biden to request federal assistance for Scott County following the May 28 collapse of the Hotel Davenport Apartments in Davenport.

The request for an emergency declaration includes assistance for debris removal, demolition, reimbursement for response activities, and technical assistance.
