DES MOINES, IOWA (January 9, 2025) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird has announced that she is proposing a law change to heighten penalties for assaults against law-enforcement officers and first-responders. Assaults against law enforcement reached a national ten-year high in 2023.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 9, 2025) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird is warning Iowans about reports of fake links meant to scam Iowa business-owners who are searching for Corporate Transparency Act registration information.

This scam is not new — the Attorney General’s Office has been warning Iowans about the grandparent scam since at least 2008.
