DES MOINES, IOWA (August 13, 2020) Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation in response to a severe weather system that moved across Iowa and caused widespread damage August 10. The proclamation now allows state resources to be utilized to respond to, and recover from, the effects of this severe weather in Jackson, Jones, and Grundy counties.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 12, 2020) Test Iowa sites in Cedar Rapids, Davenport, and Marshalltown that closed Monday after sustaining damage due to severe weather across the state, will reopen for testing, 1-6PM. Regular hours of 8AM-6PM will resume tomorrow.

WASHINGTON DC (August 11, 2020)  Representative Dave Loebsack (D-IA) announced today that the Muscatine Fire Department received a grant from the US Department of Homeland Security as part of their Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program. The Muscatine Fire Department will receive $260,909.09 for the purchase of air packs.
