Rude Punch to perform at Ya Maka My Weekend

Rude Punch, a high energy Reggae/Rock band out of the Quad Cities, will be performing at Ya Maka My Weekend Saturday August 19th at 12:00-2:30 on the East stage.  Come enjoy original Reggae/Rock tunes as well as covers from bands like Sublime, Bob Marley, Slightly Stoopid, etc..  Come enjoy music from the islands with Rude Punch.

The Adaptors and Elbow at RIBCO Saturday August 26th, doors at 9pm.

From the mid 90's when "indie" was still a fresh word, comes a reunion of two bands that is long overdue. The Adaptors, which included 3 of the 4 members of Driver of the Year, and Donnie Bobb (the Vow, Parlet, The Paradise Boys) will take the stage at RIBCO on Saturday August 26th with old friends Elbow, who play(ed) an unrelenting form of cosmic, long haired post punk/pre metal not often heard today, but much needed.

It's been over ten years since these bands lit up the places like The Cavern, The Slowfish, or RIBCO together in front of hordes of beer swilling, angst ridden Quad Citizens. Well, they're back and it's for a good cause, so put on your Dinosaur Jr. shirt, grab the Otis cassette from the shoebox, and get down to RIBCO for a garaunteed helluva good time!
