Today, a day shy of 73 years later, I’d like to introduce Andrew Saul as the new Senate-confirmed Commissioner of the Social Security Administration.

"Here we go with the Fake Polls," President Donald Trump tweeted on July 15. "Just like what happened with the Election against Crooked Hillary Clinton." He's complaining about several polls that show him losing the national popular vote to various Democratic presidential aspirants, in some cases by double-digits. He has a point. Q: How serious is the crisis at the southern border?

A: Illegal border-crossings are at the highest level in recent history. This fiscal year, immigration officials are on track to apprehend more than one million migrants crossing illegally into the country — more than double the volume of previous years. In May, more than 144,000 migrants were apprehended at the southern border.

WASHINGTON DC (July 11, 2019) — Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst, members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, are expressing concern about the increased volume of methamphetamine being smuggled from Mexico into the United States. As the nation continues to grapple with an ongoing opioid epidemic, the Senators urged the Department of Homeland Security and Office of National Drug Control Policy not to ignore the surge in meth trafficking.
