MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 13, 2019) — The Quad City Storm released defenseman Skyler Smutek today ahead of Kristaps Nimanis’ activation from the injured reserve.

Nimanis will take the ice on Sunday in Fayetteville for the first time since being injured in the second game of the season.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 11, 2019) — This week the Storm will be practicing at The River's Edge Tuesday from 12-1PM and Wednesday from 9:30AM-10:30AM.  

They will be hitting the road Thursday to take on the Fayetteville Marksmen Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 6, 2019) — The Quad City Storm has signed defenseman Dan Pszenyczny ahead of this weekend’s series with the Evansville Thunderbolts. Pszenyczny is a 12th year pro who last played in FHL Dayton during the 2014-2015 season. Dan is the brother of Storm head coach Dave Pszenyczny.

The Storm released forward Brandon Wahlin and defenseman Alex Basey on Wednesday and defenseman Cody Walsh was moved to the 30-day injured reserve.

QUAD CITIES (March 4, 2019) — The Quad City Storm added a pair of defenseman to their roster Monday before the SPHL trade deadline.

A Tuesday game in January that got hit with 6” of snow became the Storm’s lucky charm and could gain them national attention with their rescheduled game.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 1, 2019) — The Quad City Storm has added a defenseman and forward to the roster who have recently completed their college playing careers.

Bryan Hovanec is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and played collegiately at Lebanon Valley College. In three seasons with the Dutchmen, Hovanec recorded 37 goals and 30 assists. He has played in one professional game with FHL Carolina and recorded an assist.
