“Världen är Liten: The World Is Small – Modern Swedish and Swedish American Works,” November 16 through February 9

Presented in partnership with the Figge Art Museum's current exhibition French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950, the Augustana College Teaching Museum of Art showcases artistic creations from the same 100-year period in Världen är Liten: The World is Small – Modern Swedish and Swedish American Works, a November 16 through February 9 exhibit highlighting works in the museum's collection made by Swedish and Swedish-American artists.

“Regional Art Show,” November 2 through January 2

Works by an incredible assemblage of more than two dozen Midwestern artists will be on local display from November 2 through January 2, with the aptly titled Regional Art Show on display at Bettendorf's Beréskin Gallery & Art Academy and showcasing pieces, for viewing and for sale, in mediums including jewelry, sculpture, raku, ceramic, oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, print making, mixed medium, and collage.

Ross King, November 4 and 5

A widely lauded writer, critic, and historian will take part in two special Figge Art Museum presentations on November 4 and 5, with best-selling author Ross King speaking on “The Heroism of Modern Life: Edouard Manet and the Impressionsts” on Sunday and his book Mad Enchantment: Claude Monet & the Painting of the Water Lilies on Monday – talks given in conjunction with the Figge's current exhibition French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950.

Artist Talk: Mary Miss, October 25

2018 Great River Quilt Show, September 21 and 22
