PELLA, IOWA (February 24, 2020) — Clayton Hunn of Muscatine, Iowa, was one of 26 Central College students who performed with the Symphonic Wind Ensemble during its concert Feb. 23 on the Hoekstra Family Stage in Douwstra Auditorium.

PELLA, IOWA (February 24, 2020) — Taryn Sikkema of De Witt, Iowa, is one of 21 Central College students participating in the production of Kander and Ebb's iconic musical "Cabaret." It runs March 4-8 in Kruidenier Theatre.

PELLA, IOWA (February 18, 2020) — Andrew Benhart of Geneseo, Illinois, is one of 33 Central College students participating in an internship during the Spring 2020 semester. Benhart, who graduates from Central in 2021, is interning at A-Team Travel in Pella, Iowa.

 

PELLA, IOWA (February 17, 2020) — Central College is pleased to announce Kellie Gorsche Markey, a 1988 Central graduate, will speak at the college's commencement May 16, 2020, in H.S. Kuyper Fieldhouse.

PELLA, IOWA (January 30, 2020) — Central College's Central RED Society presents "Iowa Caucuses: Results and Implications" by Andrew Green, professor of political science at Central College. The event is set for 12:15PM, Wednesday, February 12, in the Boat/Moore Rooms of Maytag Student Center. Cost is $10 with a lunch scheduled for 11:30AM.

 

PELLA, IOWA (January 24, 2020) — More than 350 students were named to the Central College dean's list for Fall 2019.

The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester.

PELLA, IOWA (January 22, 2020) — Rebekah Beard of Geneseo, Illinois, was one of 20 Central College students who participated in a weeklong mission trip over winter break to Mission, Texas. While there, they partnered with a local church and built two homes for families in need. Students also spent time in worship, attended a local church, put on a community carnival and took part in other outreach activities. The theme of the week was "All In."

PELLA, IOWA (January 13, 2020) — William DeHaan of DeWitt, Iowa, is one of 44 Central College students participating this week in the college's new Career Kickstarter program, a free, one-week program offered during winter break that offers micro-internship opportunities and the opportunity to explore potential career paths. DeHaan is completing a micro-internship with Hopkins Roofing.

PELLA, IOWA (December 9, 2019) — 50 Central College students will perform as part of the A Cappella Choir in the 45th annual Christmas Candlelight Concerts. The A Cappella Choir will perform at 7:30PM, Thursday, December 12, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. The group then will join the Chamber Singers, Orchestra and Handbells for performances at 8PM, Friday, December 13, and Saturday, December 14, on the Hoekstra Family Stage in historic Douwstra Auditorium.
