PELLA, IOWA (September 5, 2019) — The Pella Community Common Reading Experience will welcome Kent Stock to Central College for a presentation at 7PM, Thursday, October 17, in Douwstra Auditorium. Stock is the former baseball coach at Norway High School, which won a state championship in 1991 and inspired the motion picture "The Final Season."

PELLA, IOWA (August 29, 2019) — Central College is proud to announce this year's recipients of full-tuition Kuyper Scholarships and Rolscreen Scholarships, the most prestigious awards granted at the college.

Peter H Kuyper founded the Rolscreen Company, known today as Pella Corporation.

PELLA, IOWA (August 29, 2019) — Central College has announced that 16 students who studied abroad in the Spring 2019 semester have earned spots on the dean's list.

The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester.

PELLA, IOWA (July 16, 2019) — Central College will welcome its largest incoming class in five years with this fall's group of 365 students. Enrollment for the 2019-20 school year includes 346 first-year students and 19 transfer students.

 

PELLA, IOWA (July 8, 2019) — Jenae Jenison, Director of External Engagement at Central College, has been selected by the 2018-19 Leadership Iowa class to serve as an honorary Leadership Iowa representative to the Iowa Association of Business and Industry's Board of Directors. Jenison was one of 40 Iowans who graduated from the distinguished Leadership Iowa program during the 2019 Taking Care of Business Conference on June 6 in Ames.

PELLA, IOWA (June 26, 2019) — More than 275 students earned a spot on the Spring 2019 Dean's List for Central College.

PELLA, IOWA (June 19, 2019) — Central College received an $18,630 grant from Humanities Iowa, a state-based affiliate of the National Endowment for the humanities, in support of a project titled "Middle Ground."

PELLA, IOWA (May 22, 2019) — Local students were among 198 Central College students graduating with bachelor's degrees in May 2019.
