MOLINE, ILLINOIS (April 18, 2022) — Regional College students have been making a difference for years as WQPT/PBS Ambassadors, an elite volunteer group representing WQPT throughout eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 8, 2022) —The award-winning documentary Jean Seberg: Actress Activist Icon will have its broadcast premiere on WQPT-Quad Cities PBS and screen one time on Sunday, March 27, 7PM. The film was produced by Mid-America Emmy Award winners Kelly and Tammy Rundle of Fourth Wall Films, and Regional Emmy-nominated filmmaker Garry McGee of McMarr Ltd.
MOLINE, ILLINOIS (February 8, 2022) — WQPT announced today that it is now live-streaming on DIRECTV STREAM. A dedicated live channel for WQPT is already available to all local DIRECTV STREAM customers, supplemented with additional PBS on-demand programming that will continue to expand PBS’s digital footprint and offer viewers additional ways to stream PBS content.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 18, 2021) — May was an exciting month for WQPT winning a Communicator Award “Award of Excellence” in the Writing-Column/Editorial category for an article Director of Education Michael Carton wrote for Quad City Family Focus Magazine titled “Advice from Elmo,” which had been published in June 2020.
MOLINE, ILLINOIS (April 20, 2021) — WQPT, PBS for the Quad Cities region began airing Ken Burns’s new three-part, six-hour film Hemingway on Thursday, April 15. Parts two and three air on April 22 and 29 at 9PM.
MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 15, 2021) — WQPT, Quad Cities PBS will air “Stout Hearted: George Stout and the Guardians of Art.” The documentary was directed by Kevin Kelley, and produced by Marie Wilkes of New Mile Media Arts (a non-profit organization based in Iowa City, Iowa) on March 18, 9PM.
