MOLINE, ILLINOIS (July 2, 2020)  The Black Box Theatre was in rehearsal for the Jeffrey Hatcher adaptation of The Turn of The Screw when Covid-19 shut everything down. As Illinois enters Phase 4 of re-opening, the actors are once again rehearsing and looking forward to performing.

The theatre will open the show on July 16 and close July 19.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 18, 2020) WQPT will stream a virtual commemoration of the 155th anniversary of Juneteenth on June 19 at 11AM.

Six leading Black museums and historical institutions from coast to coast have joined forces to launch a digital commemoration of Juneteenth, the day that the Emancipation Proclamation was officially enforced, ending enslavement in Texas.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (February 28, 2020) — The Black Box Theatre presents Jeffrey Hatcher’s Turn of the Screw March 26 through April 5.  Based on the Henry James book, it is a tale of suspense, horror, and repressed sexuality. A governess journeys to a lonely English manor house to care for two recently-orphaned children. However, she is not their first governess.
