From fashion and beauty to healthcare and home improvement, the RiverCenter is reaching out to all the ladies this weekend to attend the KWQC-TV6 Women's Health & Lifestyle Fair. For a list of fitness and lifestyle demonstrations throughout the day, click here. This year features American Idol winner and The Biggest Loser contestant, Ruben Studdard. All proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen for the cure Quad Cities.

Get a taste of New Orleans without even leaving the QC by attending the Figge's Mardi Gras Rajun Cajun Fest on Tuesday! Sample Cajun inspired food from crawfish to alligator gumbo made by local area chefs while looking over the Mississippi River. While you're there, take time to browse the unique exhibits now on display including the Roman Glass Works Exhibition or the Kids Design Glass Exhibition. Are you a fan of Jean Seberg? Mark you calendar now to attend the March 15 premiere of Movie Star: The Secret Lives of Jean Seberg at the Figge.

Bacon. Beer. Wine. Need we say more? Friendly House Iowa takes over the Figge tomorrow night for their Bacon, Brews, & Berries event. Enjoy a number of local beers and wines from places such as Great River Brewery, Creekside Vineyards, and more while feasting on an array of bacon-themed appetizers. To top it all off, all proceeds will benefit the Friendly House programs and services.

Rock out in the Redstone Room during RME's Member Appreciation Show featuring The Ballroom Thieves. Love is in the air this weekend in honor of Valentine's Day! Think your family is the weirdest of them all? Think again when The Addams Family comes to life at the Adler Theatre on Tuesday! This new musical comedy tells the story of the ultimate princess of darkness as she falls in love with a smart, young man who, with his family, heads to the Addams' house for a nice dinner. Until then, support dancers of all genres when the StarQuest Dance Competition takes place at the Adler this weekend.

Car fanatics are in for a treat this weekend! Explore the cars of tomorrow, a collection of high-end luxury vehicles, and more this at the RiverCenter for the 2014 Iowa-Illinois Regional Auto Show. With face painting, balloon characters, a live petting zoo, and a chance to meet Spongebob Squarepants, there's plenty of fun for the whole family. Also, the HAVLife Martini Shakeoff is only a week away. Be sure to get your tickets for a night of live entertainment, appetizers, and delicious martinis before they sell out!

There's plenty of hustle and bustle at River Music Experience to keep you busy this weekend! After appearing on the CBS Sunday Morning Show and touring with John Mellencamp, Griffin House brings his musical talent to the Redstone Room tonight. For those rock 'n' roll lovers, you won't want to miss The Neverly Brothers: Buddy to the Beatles. Consider it a night to reminisce on all of your favorite hits. Quilts! Quilts! Quilts! With all of this snow we've seen, there's no better time to honor the warmth of a quilt. View a display of quilts from the Mississippi Valley Quilters Guild in the Figge Art Museum lobby tonight. Stick around for Thursdays at the Figge for presentations on art-quilting with an emphasis on quilting techniques and live demonstrations. Sign up for the Art and Life in Africa Trip while you're there. Check out the Kids Design Glass exhibit as well; it's inspiring!

Interested in learning new things this year? Learn the fundamental building blocks of guitar playing at RME during Group Guitar 101. If you're more interested in learning about the recording process, participate in the Recording & Audio Engineering Workshop aimed at easing newcomers to the field of recording. Or head to the Figge Art Museum to explore a variety of acrylic painting techniques during the Acrylic Painting for Beginners class. You even have a chance to brush up on your drawing skills during their Figure Drawing Class.

What better way to embrace the cold than with a little bit of ice? Icestravaganza 2014 has arrived! Featuring ice sculptures from award-winning artist, Dawson List, the event will be held in the RME/Skybridge Courtyard on 2nd Street. It's FREE, and be sure to bring your camera to take some pics with with interactive ice sculptures and enjoy horse and carriage ride. Be a Tourist in Your Own Backyard!

Stop by the downtown library to listen to the Midwest Writing Center's authors and see the newly completed mural. The Figge will be opening a new exhibit featuring glass sculptures designed by kids and GAHC has a new exhibit, too. For a small fee, you can enjoy Public Ice Skating at River's Edge just down the street. Participate in their Learn to Skate to brush up on those skills!

Sick of the cold? Treat yourself to warm thoughts this weekend at the Quad Cities Boat & Vacation Show at the RiverCenter. Shop more boats for fishing, cruising, and water sports. Venture through various exhibits featuring resorts & fishing camps, vacations, campgrounds, and more! Get those putters ready, because Tuesday also marks the start of theBig Brothers Big Sisters 2014 Putt-A-Round. Help improve graduation rates by playing a round of miniature golf! After playing over 200 shows in a single year, blues/folk artist Matt Andersen will arive at River Music Experience for a gig on Wednesday! Hear narrative-driven lyrics that cut through the soul and blend a variety of musical styles, guitar work, and showmanship. On Saturday, a combination of funk, jazz, and rock will fill the Redstone Room with Brainchild!

Icestravaganza 2014 is coming up NEXT week! Award-winning ice sculpture artist, Dawson List, will be visiting from the Big Easy to wow event goers on Saturday, January 18! It's FREE and one sculpture will be so big you can walk through it! The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the RME/Skybridge Courtyard on 2nd Street. Join the Facebook Event and invite your friends, too. The event is free and perfect for families!

This Week in Downtown Davenport: 1/3 - 1/8

Fans of Green Day are in for a treat this week! Hear the story of three lifelong friends forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia during the Broadway smash-hit musical, American Idiot! Based on Green Day's Grammy Award-winning album, this unique musical is one you don't want to regret missing while it was in your own backyard.

Family fun, refreshments, gift shop discounts and more...all of this can be found at the German American Heritage Center this Sunday at their Open House! Now's your chance to see what the GAHC has to offer all for FREE! Here's an opportunity to also see images from GAHC's trip to Germany along with the exhibition of winning photos from the photography contest.

The Figge Art Museum is making room for new exhibits for the new year! With that said, be sure to head to the Figge before Sunday to see the New Deal for Illinois: The Federal Art Project Collection of Western Illinois Exhibit before it closes. While you're there, make a run through the 1934: A New Deal for Artists Exhibit, too, before it closes on Monday. Make sure you also mark your calendar for the next PechaKucha Night set for January 30.
