Festival season isn't over just yet! Celebrate the Harvest with local foods, drinks, music, and fun during the Harvest Moon Festival at the Quad Cities Food Hub tomorrow! Head back to the Food Hub on Saturday to learn about winter garden prep and cooking during the Overwintering Your Garden and Cooking with Squash Seminar.

Experience the captivating sound of ten unadulterated human voices coming together to make unique, live music this weekend at the Adler. See how the comedic male a cappella group, Straight No Chaser, creates a musical atmosphere without instruments! Haunted House

What better way to kick off fall than with some apple picking, hot chocolate drinking, and of course, haunted housing! Get your Halloween fix early by attending the Davenport Jaycees Haunted House every Friday and Saturday for the rest of October. Grab a friend or family member's hand to squeeze and experience the most-terrifying hunted house in the Quad Cities!

The star of the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is bringing his hilarious stand-up brand of comedy to the Adler Theater! Get your laugh on when Craig Ferguson's Hot and Grumpy Tour arrives on Saturday. Mix it up a little next weekend when the a capella group Straight No Chaser brings their ten, unadulterated human voices together to make extraordinary music with a touch of humor, too.

Sing along to some familiar songs at River Music Experience this weekend during Deja vu Rendezvous featuring 10 of Soul. Tonight, the Kris Lager Band returns to the Redstone Room for a night of blues, soul, jam, and rock! And don't forget about this Third Sunday's Jazz presenting the Laurence Hobgood Quintet featuring Ernie Watts. If you'd rather be the star of the show, participate in the RME Open Mic Contest Round 1 tonight and perform in front of a live audience.

Attention teens between the ages of 12 and 18! Get "animated" this weekend for Teen Anime Day at the Figge! Dress up in your favorite anime costume for a chance to win People's Choice while participating in art shows, a Japanese language and art session, and more. In light of the Halloween spirit, check out the new exhibition opening this weekend, Medieval Monsters. The very cool Day of the Dead Exhibit is still on display, as well.

Spend part of your Saturday with Coffee, Cupcakes, & a Conversation during Bucktown Center for the Arts' Second Saturday Series. Meet with artist Nicole Zoe Miller and browse the works of Studio56. Don't forget to stop at the Freight House Farmers Market and bring the kids along to enjoy a petting zoo! While you're there, grab a pumpkin to carve along with some fresh and local autumn produce. With a mission to enrich the cultural life of the QC region through symphonic music, this event is sure to please. Keep in mind to grab your tickets for Craig Ferguson's Hot and Grumpy Tour, which comes to the Adler next weekend!

Need a mid-week pick-me-up? Make your way to the River Music Experience tonight for some party blues when Andy Frasco and The Un bring a performance of high energy and orchestrated chaos to the Redstone Room. Fans of Tom Petty, Van Morrison, and Neil Young should definately check out the Dan Hubbard and the Humadors' CD Release Show on Friday! Opening will be fellow River Roots Live veterans Busted Chandeliers.

Treat yourself to an evening of fine dining tonight during Bix Bistro's 5 Course Oktoberfest Dinner at Hotel Blackhawk. While you're there, reserve your spot for next week's Beer Tasting Event. Although the Frank Lloyd Wright Exhibition closes this weekend at the Figge, two new exhibitions will open! View larger-than-life Catrina dolls and community ofrendas when the Day of the Dead Exhibition opens tonight. This evening will also feature Thursdays at the Figge, where you can expect music, free snacks, salsa dancing, and specialty cocktails in honor of the opening. Return to the Figge on Saturday for a lasting impression of America when 1934: A New Deal for Artists Exhibition opens.

Spend an evening with an American musical legend at the River Music Experience tomorrow night! After performing with acts such as Eric Clapton and U2, Buckwheat Zydeco heads to the Redstone Room for an unforgettable and unique performance. Familiarize yourself with a little gypsy-swing-jazz when Caravan of Thieves take the RME stage Saturday. Join us for this season's LAST Friday Live at 5 event tomorrow in the courtyard featuring Busted Chandeliers, too!

With the final days of September upon us, it's time for Bucktown's Final Friday featuring a book release party in Subtopia Studios and the must-see Title Wave Exhibit the guys at General Assembly Tees have been hard at work on. If you've not been to Bucktown in awhile, there is A LOT of new great art to enjoy and purchase! Start your weekend off right during Final Friday with music by Subatlantic, beer from Front Street Brewery, books, food, and more.

Help raise funds for a new Catheterization Lab suite by checking out the styles of autumn during the Friends of Trinity Medical Center Celebrity Style Show at the RiverCenter. Enjoy a luncheon that features vendors with merchandise ranging from jewelry to potter to gourmet cookies and more. On Saturday, you can start your morning off at the Quad Cities Prayer Breakfast.

For all you tea lovers out there, be sure to venture over to Gallery 114 on Saturday for the 3rd Street Tea Party! Taste a variety of teas, both hot and cold, while perusing paintings, jewelry, and pottery by various artists. You can grab dinner at Antonella's or Boozie's Bar and Grill next door.

Speaking of 3rd Street, you may have noticed The Office Bar & Lounge recently opened! Their official grand opening is still on the horizon, but their unique atmosphere and excellent service is already drawing plenty of visitors. Check it out while you're in the neighborhood.

Keep in mind that Bix Bistro's 5 Course Oktoberfest Dinner highlighting a portfolio of Ayinger Beers will be next Thursday. Until then, make a trip to Hotel Blackhawk for a night of Blackhawk Bowling with friends and family. Or, stop in Spa Luce to pamper yourself with a variety of spa services including massages, facials, and more.

Venture out to the banks of the Mississippi with some friends this Saturday for award-winning beer and cheese tastings! Presented by WQTP-Quad Cities PBS, this year's Brew Ha Ha will feature live music by Jim the Mule, live comedy from The Blacklist, crazy fun games, and more!

Make a day of it and hop over to Centennial Park Saturday for the Celtic Festival and Highland Games! Who wouldn't want to see a live caber toss or stone of strength!? The event also features live entertainment, family activities, and you guessed it - much more.

Adler

Attention fans of the NBC hit comedy series, The Office! Come hear the audio-biography of Creed Bratton when he tells his story through music at the Adler Theatre tonight. Get a feel for what Bratton's life is like behind the screens. On Saturday, the Quad City Rollers are back home this weekend for a bout against Old Capitol City. Don't forget about the Friends of Trinity Medical Center Celebrity Style Show next Friday, too.

While enjoying a career that spans the spectrum of musical styles, Fareed Haque brings his musical variety to the River Music Experience this weekend. With a combination of jazz and classical guitar, Haque is sure to please an audience of all ages. See one of the hardest working rock bands in the country tonight when Bobaflex hits the Redstone Room stage. Prepare yourself for a show of high energy and great music!

Learn about the Figge's new Exhibition, A New Deal for Illinois, during tonight's Thursday at the Figge. Curator Greg Gilbert will speak on the collection of art displayed. While you're there, stop by the Interactive Exhibit: Colony before it closes tonight! Meet the artist behind the No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service Exhibit, Juan Angel Chavez on Saturday. Learn more about the messages behind his art and share some messages of your own.

Head to the Freight House early on Saturday for the Farmers Market and then attend the QC Food Hub's Working with Herbs seminar while you're there. Bring the kid's along for the Children's Cupcake Decorating Activity for FREE, too! Also on Saturday, join the brewer's of Great River for the Oktoberfest Tapping. Authentic German food will even be available from Bier Stube!

Keep in mind our neighbors to the east are also hosting a premier QC fine arts festival, Riverssance! Jam to some jazz on Sunday when this month's Third Sunday Jazz presents The Dave Burrell Conception. Then, Hot Water Music's very own, Chuck Ragan, takes the stage Wednesday. And don't forget about grooving with The Candymakers at this Friday's Live at Five!

Tis the weekend for fairs and festivals! On Saturday and Sunday, peruse fine art of all kinds at the Beaux Arts Fair. Take the family out for a weekend of crafts, musical entertainment, a children's area and food all for FREE! Tomorrow also marks the start of the East West Riverfest! Revel in two weeks of music, theatre, art, dance, tours, history, and more all throughout the Quad Cities. Click here to check out the events the coming weeks have in store for you!

After sharing the stage with acts like the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Bassnectar to appearing on ESPN's Espy Awards, MarchFourth Marching Band returns to the River Music Experience on Sunday! Prepare yourself for costumed beauties, acrobatic stilt walkers, fire arts, and more when this unique big band takes the stage. Until then, head out on Friday to hear the familiar tunes of singer/ songwriter Gretchen Peters. And if you're still on the country kick, show off your line dancing moves at Saturday's Dress Up and Dance: Country Hoedown featuring North of 40.

As summer creeps to an end, spend your night on the Figge Plaza for Thursdays at the Figge: Project GreenSpace and Wine & Art! Join the German American Heritage Center this week during their Teacher Workshop or their Film Showing, both which relate to the Mildred Fish Harnack Exhibit. Noted by The Boston Globe as having "a brave, beautiful singing voice," Maine native Howie Day is sure to impress with inventive melodies during his return to River Music Experience tonight! Tomorrow, wind down at Friday Live at 5 featuring Natty Scratch. Stick around to hear the legendary blues/roots rock sound of River Roots vets The Nighthawks in the Redstone Room, too. Want to dance? The entire top floor of RME will be full of lasers, vendors, and live music on Saturday for A D Good Time Volume 5.

The end of August is here, which means it's time for another Final Friday! Head to Bucktown Center for the Arts on Friday when Atom Studio + Gallery shows the "Women's Project. This Final Friday also features a second Wine Walk for those who missed it in July! Receive 5 free wine tastings from the various galleries when you purchase a $10 hand-painted wine glass! Bring along some back-to-school items to donate to children in need, too.

Our newest downtown business, General Assembly Tees, will be hosting its grand opening party during Final Friday at Bucktown! The Parish Festival has even made the long trek back to Davenport from Austin, TX to play some tunes at the event. We're thrilled to have them back in town! Beyond the fashion presentation by SK models, you can expect "zombies, unicorns, and martinis." Sounds like fun!

It's PechaKucha Night at the Figge! Have no idea what we're talking about? PechaKucha is super fun, quick, and anyone can sign up to show 20 images, each for 20 seconds, while you talk about your passion of choice. Gain a better understanding of the beautiful, historic buildings right here in Davenport during the Figge's Architectural Walking Tour of Downtown Davenport on Sunday. Or, work on your self-portrait skills during their Pop with Color--Drawing Workshop on Saturday. While you're there, explore the new Jazz Exhibition that opens on Saturday and plan to attend Project Greenspace next week.

Get your bikes ready this weekend for a ride along the river when Live Uncommon presents a Critical Mass Citizen Ride. Start at the Freight House for a press conference and then ride along the river bike path with local bicyclists. Make sure to register before Friday for this FREE event. Venture out a little early to shop around the Freight House Farmers Market beforehand, too.

Speaking of events with wheels, the Quad City Rollers are back at the RiverCenter this weekend for a home bout! A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will even be given to a local charity. The River Bandits are home this weekend too, so head down to the riverfront if you're in the mood for some late season baseball.

If you haven't had a chance to explore the Questionable Architecture Exhibition at the Figge, now's your last chance! Come see movable structures made by hand from one of the Quad Cities very own before the exhibition closes Sunday. But where one exhibition closes, another opens. Saturday is a day of firsts for some downtown businesses! Be a part of Gallery 114's first ever Salon Show this Saturday. Enjoy various art along with live music by Mover and Shakers and comedy by Andrew King. Also on Saturday, the Quad Cities Food Hub will host the first of many seminars to come. This weekend's class revolves around Fall Crops and Harvest- Seasonal Plant Support. Show up a little early to peruse the Farmer's Market beforehand.
