One of the best-loved adventures in world literature enjoys a brand-new stage version when Davenport's Mockingbird on Main presents its March 4 through 12 run of Around the World in 80 Days, a two-actor take on Jules Verne's 1872 novel that has been adapted numerous times for the stage, radio, video games, and film, with its 1956 movie version the winner of five Academy Awards including Best Picture.

Performing a singular blend of Chicago blues, New Orleans funk, Grateful Dead-style psychedelia, and jazz fusion, the gifted musicians of the Joe Marcinek Band play Davenport's Redstone Room on February 24, a night celebrating the talents of singer/songwriter/guitarist Marcinek as well as Ola Timothy, Kyle Magnusson, Georgia Rae, and special guest Jason Hann of String Cheese Incident.

An eagerly awaited exhibition featuring dozens of recent and debuting works in a variety of artistic mediums, the 2022 Rock Island Art Guild Fine Arts Exhibition will be on display at the Figge Art Museum through May 15, with the Davenport venue housing 59 works - paintings, sculptures, installations, and more - by 50 artists living within a 200-mile radius of the Quad Cities.
