Some of the most fascinating and beautiful edifices in all of Europe will be explored and celebrated on April 25 when historian and lecturer Russell Baldner delivers the virtual program German Architecture in the Saxony Region, a special online event hosted by Davenport's German American Heritage Center.

Praised by the Nashville Tennessean as “playful and funny” and “a treat for the whole family,” the colorful and hilarious children's-book stage adaptation Dragons Love Tacos will be available for one-day-only streaming on April 17, its presentation by students of Augustana College – filmed live in the college's Brunner Theatre Center – sure to demonstrate why Chicago Parent magazine deemed the show “a must-see for families, taco enthusiasts, and anyone who's ever had nothing to do.”

On April 15, the Putnam Museum & Science Center’s Curator of History and Anthropology Christina Kastell presents a Virtual Curator Talk for Davenport's Figge Art Museum, introducing the Putnam's current Faces of the Past, an original Putnam exhibit that explores portraiture around the world and across time as a reflection of self-identity, popular culture, mythology, and ritual.

Screening locally as the fourth cinematic presentation in Fathom Events' seventh-annual TCM Big Screen Classics series, the beloved 1987 hit La Bamba will enjoy a two-day cineplex return at Rave Cinemas Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, its April 18 through 22 engagement exploring the artistry of rock icon Ritchie Valens in a film that, according to Rotten Tomatoes, “distills its subject's creative energy and reflects his music's enduring appeal.”
