A Quad Cities-based tribute act dedicated to free-spirited and energetic concert experiences from the Stop Making Sense era, the tour de force of musicians known as Heads in Motion play Rock Island's RIBCO on April 18, show with the 10-piece ensemble celebrating Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner David Byrne and his iconic rock outfit Talking Heads.

Performing all of the artist's hits including "Como La Flor," "Amor Prohibido," "Si Una Vez," and "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom," the tribute talents of 512: The Selena Experience bring their tour to Galesburg's Orpheum Theatre on April 23, the group having played for the Chicago Bulls and United States Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan, and the show a dynamic touring celebration of the legacy and dance-tastic hits of the late, great pop and Tejano chanteuse Selena.

With the concert event's list of inspiring songs including “How Great Thou Art,” “Swing Down Sweet Chariot,” “It Was Jesus,” and “I’ll Fly Away,” Peace in the Valley: A Gospel Tribute to Johnny Cash & Elvis Presley will enjoy an April 18 performance at Mt. Carroll's Timber Lake Playhouse, showcased singer Jonathan Lyons creating an evening of timeless music filled with hope, reflection, and peace.

With Masterworks' moving 2025-26 season finale presented in partnership with Violins of Hope, the Quad City Symphony Orchestra will present Johann Sebastian Bach’s beautiful Concerto for Two Violins and Gustav Mahler's gripping Sixth Symphony on April 11 and 12, the respective concerts at Davenport's Adler Theatre and Augustana College's Centennial Hall finding members of the QCSO – including soloists Emily Nash and Sabrina Tabby – performing on historic violins that serve as symbols of resilience, hope, and remembrance.

Their collection of 17 studio albums including top-10 Billboard smashes The Amazing Jeckel Brothers, The Might Death Pop, and Bang! Pow! Boom!, the Insane Clown Posse of Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler - performing under the respective personas of wicked clowns Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope - bring their tour to Davenport's Capitol Theatre on April 12, the horrorcore musicians also members of the current super-group 3 Headed Monster.

Hailed by Tomorrow's Verse for “unique and soulful songs that don’t often lean on bluegrass clichés – or any clichés, for that matter,” the lauded roots and bluegrass ensemble Pert Near Sandstone headlines an April 10 concert at Rock Island's RIBCO, the group's 2023 bluegrass album Waiting Days hailed by Americana Highways as "all done with finesse and nothing retro despite the genre's age."

With their special concert event performed by husband-and-wife duo Steven Lasiter and Jennifer Barnaba, both currently appearing in the Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse's mainstage musical Honky Tonk Angels, Cash, Carter, & Company: A Musical Tribute enjoys a one-night-only staging at the Circa '21 Speakeasy theatre on April 16, the show boasting dozens of Johnny Cash's and June Carter's greatest hits along with songs from the era and an all-star band of talented musicians.
