DES MOINES, IOWA (November 20, 2025) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird is leading a coalition of 20 states in support of overturning President Biden’s “Fiduciary Rule” — a rule attempting to mandate expensive new requirements on financial advisors that give retirement advice. The rule will stifle innovation in the financial services industry, increase costs for Iowans, and restrict choices for retirement savers.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 20, 2025) — The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) Board of Directors recently approved more than $6.5 million in grants to support the development of a total of 34 rental homes and supportive services for individuals experiencing, or at risk of homelessness in Davenport, Dubuque, Grinnell, and Ottumwa. The funding is made available through the Federal HOME-American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) and National Housing Trust Fund programs.
