DES MOINES, IOWA (December 26, 2019) — As this year nears its end, the Grassley family is grateful for another fall harvest. Like other family farms across Iowa, our three-generation farming operation experiences many of the uncertainties blanketing our profession.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 24, 2019) — The Libertarian Party of Iowa (LPIA) will host its first-ever Presidential Candidate Forum at its annual State Convention. The convention will feature keynote speaker, former United States Senator, and Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee, Greene County Attorney Thomas Laehn, and Libertarian National Committee Representative Joshua Smith — all registered Libertarians.

PLATTEVILLE, WISCONSIN (December 23, 2019) — Thirty-four University of Wisconsin-Platteville students were recently inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, an honor society that recognizes academic achievement of top students in all majors.

WASHINGTON DC (December 23, 2019) — Senator Charles "Chuck" Grassley has nominated 50 Iowa students to be considered for appointments to the US service academies.

“These young Iowans who want to enter the academies and serve our country are a remarkable reflection on our state. Their accomplishments, leadership and desire to serve are exceptional, and signal continued excellence in the US armed forces,” Sen Grassley said.

 

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA (December 23, 2019) — Rhonda Sue Lundgren of Geneseo was among 1,404 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during winter commencement exercises December 20 and 21.

Lundgren earned a Master of Business Administration from the Office of Graduate Studies.

The December graduates are from 49 countries, 36 states, and more than 150 Nebraska communities.
