MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 18, 2019) — The Quad City Storm presented the United Way of the Quad Cities with a check in the amount of $1000 Tuesday afternoon, continuing their commitment to giving back to the community that supports them. The funds were granted to the Storm to donate to a charity of their choice as part of the SPHL’s Wanda Amos award which recognizes a team, individual, or alumna for their outstanding work in the community.

WASHINGTON DC (June 18, 2019) — Senators Charles "Chuck" Grassley and Mark Warner today called on federal investigators to improve transparency surrounding their review of the fatal shooting of Bijan Ghaisar by US Park Police in 2017. In letters to the FBI and National Park Service, the senators are requesting an update of the investigation as well as the U.S. Park Police’s policies regarding the use of force.
