QUAD CITIES (May 12, 2019) — After a great deal of hard work and collaboration, United Way of the Quad Cities is proud to announce the 2019 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has collected a preliminary total of 100,119 pounds of food! All donations collected in the Quad Cities will stay in our community and be distributed by River Bend Foodbank.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 12, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits, in conjunction with the Houston Astros, have announced the following changes to their roster on Sunday. Pitcher Joey Gonzalez has been transferred from Fayetteville (Advanced-A) to Quad Cities. Pitcher Brett Conine has been transferred from Quad Cities to Fayetteville (Advanced-A). Outfielder Carlos Machado has been transferred from Quad Cities to extended spring training.

DES MOINES, IOWA (May 12, 2019) — Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller joined 43 attorneys-general in announcing a lawsuit against Teva Pharmaceuticals and 19 of the nation's largest generic-drug manufacturers alleging a broad conspiracy to artificially inflate and manipulate prices, reduce competition, and unreasonably restrain trade for more than 100 different generic drugs.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 12, 2019) — The Kwik Star Criterium will donate $1,000 to the Quad Cities DAV. Commander Robert Ledtje will receive a donation from Kimberley Keil of Kwik Star at the Start/Finish line (Jersey Ridge Road and 11th Street) at approximately 4:20PM on Memorial Day, May 27. Robert and Kimberley are available for interviews after the short ceremony.

DES MOINES, IOWA (May 11, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds today received word that Scott County has been added to the Presidential Disaster Declaration granted March 23, 2019, for severe storms and flooding.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 11, 2019) — Wild Cherry Spoon Co is one of a small number of businesses that has been selected by the Illinois Office of Tourism for the Illinois Made Program. The Illinois Made Program highlights makers, small breweries, and family owned businesses that attract tourism to the state.
