CLIVE, Iowa, Dec. 5, 2017 – An eastern Iowa man has claimed a $30,000 lottery prize.

Gregory Fix of Blue Grass claimed the 11th of 19 top prizes of $30,000 available in the Iowa Lottery’s “Jolly Holiday Crossword” scratch game.

Fix bought his winning ticket at Casey’s, 3700 W. Locust St. in Davenport, and claimed his prize Monday at the lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids.

On Friday, December 8, 2017 the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency will host its first Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Day . This event will be consist of games, crafts, a signing Santa, balloon clown, American Sign Language (ASL) story time with voice interpretation, and sack lunch time together. In attendance will be deaf community members, Scott Community College ASL and English Interpretation program students and various others interested in attending.
