The Fourth of July is the biggest grilling holiday of the summer, and LongHorn Steakhouse’s expert Grill Masters are on-hand to help guests prepare at home. On July 2, fans can dial into the Grill Us Hotline for immediate help from a tried-and-true grilling expert.

(Bettendorf, Iowa) Katy Leigh Babcock a 12-year-old from Bettendorf and a Pleasant Valley Riverdale Heights student loves creating artwork and wants to become an artist.  Two years ago Katy was invited to illustrate an important story for the A Book by Me Holocaust series and she eagerly agreed to do so. A Book by Me books are true stories of Holocaust survivors written by students who have interviewed the story’s subject.  They are books written and illustrated by children for children.
DAVENPORT, IA – June 2017 –Gilda’s Club is excited to offer a series of introductory workshop classes focusing on yoga, meditation and Tai Chi for kids and teens impacted by cancer. The series, sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Geneseo, will be offered on select Mondays this summer from 3:30 – 5:00 PM at Gilda’s Club (1234 East River Drive, Davenport).

(June 26, 2017) - Saint Mary's College named the following students to the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester: Carmen Bauer of Long Grove, IA To earn academic honors at Saint Mary's, a student must achieve a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, have at least 12 graded credit hours, no incompletes, and no grades lower than a C.
