Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack announced today that he will be touring various manufacturing companies throughout the state on his “Made in Iowa” tour. At each stop, Dave will take a tour of their facility to learn more about the company, as well as hear from local employers about their concerns.

JOHNSTON, IA - Iowa Public Television announced today the premiere of Tolkien & Lewis: Myth, Imagination & The Quest For Meaning. The program will premiere Monday, March 13 at 8 p.m. and air again Sunday, March 26 at 1 p.m.

The Campus Forgiveness Plan of 2017, was developed by recently passed legislation for the purpose of aiding individuals who obtained large amounts from the federal government to go to college. To access this program, a person must not be taking courses this term and if they are currently employed, it greatly boosts their chance of qualifying. They also need to be holding a balance of at least six thousand dollars to qualify.

Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa today made the following comment on President Trump’s actions to begin rescinding the controversial Waters of the U.S. rule. Grassley has been an ardent opponent of the rule, which has been blocked temporarily by a federal court. The rule would have defined 97 percent of the land in Iowa as a waterway.
