Monmouth College communication studies professor Trudi Peterson has retired from teaching to become an asylum officer for the federal government

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (December 18, 2023) — For 25 years, Trudi Peterson has shaped Monmouth College students' lives. Now, the much-honored communication studies professor will look to do the same in another role for people who have turned to the United States for help.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (December 18, 2023) — The Kiwanis Club of Moline, Illinois, will issue grants to five local organizations on Tuesday, December 19, at their weekly meeting. Each of the organizations will receive $350.00 towards their needs. The funds are collected from Kiwanis members during “happy or sad” announcements.
