Rude Punch CD Release

ImageRude Punch is set to release their second CD in February. They have been working hard in the studio the past couple of months and the new record promoses to be some of their best work yet. From harder rock to melodic reggae ballads, the new release has a little something for everyone. Rude Punch is planning a midwest mini tour to support the release, starting with a huge CD release party at The Redstone Room in Davenport, IA on February 21. Their friends from Nebraska, Vibenhai will be sharing the stage with them in what will be the biggest party to hit the Redstone Room ever. Plan on attending and being a part of this incredible event.   • Jan. 3: "First Saturday" book discussion. Alice Roosevelt Longworth: From White House Princess to Washington Power Broker by Stacy Cordery. Join us at 10 a.m. at Muscatine Books & More. 
  • Jan. 5: Our adult winter reading program begins: "Hot Reads for Cold Nights". 
  • Jan. 6: "Fitness & Weight Loss" program at 6:30 p.m. Please join us as Mel Steckel from the YMCA gives us guidance on what we can do to become more fit, perhaps with a few exercises thrown in. 
  • Jan. 13: "Fitness Equipment". Our series on fitness continues this week as we learn what equipment works best for you.

Holiday Stress Relief Day for Caregivers.

The Sage Center, a program of Alternatives for the Older Adult, is holding a Holiday Stress Relief Day for Caregivers.  The event is free and open to the public.  The event will be held on December 17th from 10:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. The event will offer free refreshments provided by the Lighthouse at Silvis, free wrapping of Christmas gifts, and free chair massages.  Caregiver Counselors will be at the event to assist those in need of elder care information.  RSVP's are encouraged for the event to Joy at 309-277-0167 extension 232.
