DES MOINES, IOWA (November 16, 2022) — More than 150 delegates from the Iowa Association of School Board's (IASB) member school boards and area education agency (AEA) boards gathered at Delegate Assembly on November 16 to conduct the annual meeting, convene nominating caucuses for open seats on the IASB Board of Directors, elect a president-elect, and set the platform for the 2023 legislative session.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 15, 2022) — Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller announced today that he and a coalition of attorneys-general have reached a $3.1 billion settlement with Walmart to resolve allegations that the company contributed to the opioid crisis by failing to appropriately oversee the dispensing of opioids at its stores. The settlement will provide more than $19.9 million to Iowa and will require significant improvements in how Walmart's pharmacies handle opioids.
