CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (December 23, 2024) — The African American Museum of Iowa and WIN (Women in NAACP) are partnering to host a Kwanzaa celebration on Saturday, December 28, 12-3PM.

This meaningful celebration of Kwanzaa will honor African American heritage, culture, and unity. The event will include cultural performances and interactive activities for all ages, as well as food, local artisans, and opportunities for learning and reflection.

On Friday, December 20, the Storm travelled to Peoria and unloaded the offense in the first period, jumping to a six-to-zero lead and holding on to win seven to four.

COAL VALLEY, ILLINOIS (December 20, 2024) — As most are likely aware by now, Niabi Zoo experienced significant damage to facilities and infrastructure due to heavy snowfall in January 2024. Repairs and construction have taken place throughout the entire 2024 season. Major accomplishments include a completely new roof for the rhino barn, the replacement of the roof structure of the animal encounters exhibit, and the gutters were replaced on most buildings.
