FDA Takes Additional Action to Harness Real-World Data to Inform COVID-19 Response Efforts

WASHINGTON DC (June 18, 2020) — The US Food and Drug Administration has taken an additional step in harnessing real-world data to help inform the agency’s overall response to the COVID-19 public health emergency. The FDA is announcing its participation in the COVID-19 Diagnostics Evidence Accelerator, a multi-stakeholder collaborative project to advance the development of diagnostics.

Iowa Workforce Development Reports Initial Unemployment Insurance Claims Filed for Week of 7-13 June 2020

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 18, 2020) — The number of initial claims in Iowa, filed between Sunday, June 7, and Saturday, June 13, was 9,516. There were 8,717 initial claims by individuals who work and live in Iowa, and 799 claims by individuals who work in Iowa and live in another state. The number of continuing weekly unemployment claims for June 7-13 was 154,752, down 3,516 from the previous week.
