DES MOINES, IOWA (February 23, 2021) — Governor Kim Reynolds announced applications are now open for the Future Ready Iowa Summer Youth Internship Pilot Program Grant, a funding opportunity to provide high-school youth with internship opportunities that allow them to explore and prepare for high-demand careers, to gain work experience, and to develop personal attributes necessary to succeed in the workplace.

These Iowans oppose SSB 1172 and HSB 203, which would institute a one-week waiting-period, reduces benefits for many families on unemployment, and cuts thirteen weeks from the number of weeks that someone who is the victim of a plant- or business-closing can collect.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (February 17, 2021) — Quad City International Airport is getting a $2.8 million boost from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Coronavirus Response Grant Program. The program, funded under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2020 (CRRSA), awarded $2 billion total to US airports. This funding will continue to offset lost revenue and provide operational and payroll support.
