DES MOINES, IOWA (January 1, 2021) — The number of initial unemployment claims in Iowa, filed between Sunday, December 20, and Saturday, December 26, was 7,644, an increase of 373 from last week’s adjusted numbers.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 23, 2020) The number of initial unemployment claims in Iowa, filed between Sunday, December 13, and Saturday, December 19, was 7,645, an increase of 1,119 from last week’s adjusted numbers.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 18, 2020) Iowa’s seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 3.6 percent in November, a slight drop from the October revised rate of 3.7 percent. The state’s jobless rate was 2.8 percent one year ago. The U.S. unemployment rate fell to 6.7 percent in November.
