MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (January 13, 2020) — The community is invited to celebrate this year's Martin Luther King Jr Day at Monmouth College.

The College will commemorate King's legacy with a convocation at noon on January 20 in Dahl Chapel and Auditorium. The event — which will feature a keynote by nationally known poet and spoken-word artist Harold Green of Chicago — is free and open to the public.

RIVER FALLS, WISCONSIN (January 13, 2020) — The University of Wisconsin-River Falls fall semester Dean's List honoring 1,755 students has been released by Registrar Kelly Browning.

To be named to the Dean's List, a full-time undergraduate must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a scale of 4.0, or midway between an "A" and "B" average. Area students are listed below by hometown, name, and major.

GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA (January 13, 2020) — Alexis Sweat, a Junior Science Education major from Moline, was among over 900 Bob Jones University students named to the Fall 2019 Dean's List.

The Dean's List recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.

PELLA, IOWA (January 13, 2020) — William DeHaan of DeWitt, Iowa, is one of 44 Central College students participating this week in the college's new Career Kickstarter program, a free, one-week program offered during winter break that offers micro-internship opportunities and the opportunity to explore potential career paths. DeHaan is completing a micro-internship with Hopkins Roofing.

SIOUX CITY, IOWA (January 9, 2020) — Morningside College Provost Dr Chris Spicer recently announced the 403 students named to the Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2019-20 academic year.

The Dean's List recognizes Morningside College students who achieve a 3.67 grade-point average or better and complete at least 12 credits of coursework with no grade below a "C-." Students that achieved a 4.0 grade point average are denoted with an asterisk (*).

WHITEWATER, WISCONSIN (January 9, 2020) — The following students were named to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester.

IOWA FALLS, IOWA (January 9, 2020) — One-hundred thirty-six students were named to the Fall 2019 (August to December) Dean's List at Ellsworth Community College. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must have taken 12 or more credit hours during the semester (a full-time class load) and have earned at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the Fall 2019 semester (Note: Developmental courses do not count towards GPA.) Part-time students are not included in this list.  

BOURBONNAIS, ILLINOIS (January 8, 2020) — To qualify for inclusion on the Dean's List, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and have attained a semester grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

YORK, PENNSYLVANIA (January 8, 2020) — Hannah Gales of Port Byron, Illinois, a junior Human Services major at York College of Pennsylvania, has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2019 semester.

To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.
