Students honored for academic success during the 2016 fall semester

MINNEAPOLIS / ST. PAUL, Minn. (February 24, 2017) - Lindsay Puls, a freshman from Davenport enrolled in the Carlson School of Management, has been named to the 2016 fall semester Dean's List at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, the university announced today.

Fifty-two Iowa high school graduates have completed their first semester of college after being named recipients of the Bright Scholars of Iowa Award, a distinction that includes a four-year, full-ride academic scholarship.

MANKATO, Minn. (February 14, 2017) - The Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean's lists) for the past fall semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Marilyn Wells.

Among 3,282 students, a total of 812 students qualified for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 straight "A" average, while 2,470 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the Honor List.

The local chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America has established a scholarship to benefit veterans of foreign wars and conflicts. Members of the chapter raised the scholarship funding through individual and family donations, memorial gifts, and fundraisers such as barbeques, catering, and trivia nights.

TUSCALOOSA, AL (02/10/2017)-- A total of 11,758 students enrolled during the 2016 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.
