IOWA CITY, IOWA (June 13, 2019) — On June 15, NextGen Iowa will support LGBTQIA+ Iowans, register young voters, and recruit volunteers at Iowa City Pride Fest and Parade. In the past two weeks, NextGen Iowa has attended both Sioux City and Des Moines Pride, where organizers collected over 1,100 petitions urging Senator Joni Ernst, who is up for re-election in 2020, to support the historic Equality Act, and committed over 800 people to vote in upcoming elections.

CLEMSON, SOUTH CAROLINA (June 13, 2019) — Local students have been named to the President's List at Clemson University for the spring 2019 semester.

They are:

Olivia Nicole Gamble of Rock Island, Illinois whose major is Chemistry; and

Austin James Halupnik of Bettendorf, Iowa, whose major is Genetics.

To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN (June 13, 2019) — Emily Ostrowski, of East Moline, Illinois, a sophomore, has been named to the college's Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Emily is a graduate of Alleman High School.

To be eligible for Dean's List, a student must carry a semester GPA of 3.6 or higher.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (June 12, 2019) — More than 4,800 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at the University of Iowa recently participated in graduation ceremonies.

The UI's spring 2019 graduates had an average cumulative undergraduate grade-point average of 3.16 on a 4.0 scale. In addition, 16 percent of the graduating-class graduated with multiple majors and 355 undergraduates graduated with honors.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (June 12, 2019) — The University of Iowa has announced the names of more than 600 students who were named to the President's List for academic achievement during the spring 2019 semesters

GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN (June 12, 2019) — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has made public the names of students receiving semester honors for the spring 2019 semester. Students who earn a 4.0 grade point average, which represents all "A" grades, receive highest honors. High honors go to students earning 3.99 to 3.75 grade point averages. Honors are given to students earning 3.74 to 3.50 grade point averages. Students are listed by the county claimed as place of permanent residence.

AMES, IOWA (June 11, 2019) — Graduating Iowa State University students seeking teacher-licensure were corded at a ceremony on Friday, May 10, in CY Stephen's Auditorium. As part of the celebration, each student received honors cords that were placed around their shoulders by the influential mentor of their choice.
