ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 8, 2024) — Augustana College was one of five national liberal-arts colleges in Illinois named to Money’s 2024 “Best Colleges in America” list.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 3, 2024) — Eighty-one Augustana College students were recognized at the Office of Career Development and Vocation's annual Viking Score Banquet on May 8.

Viking Score points are awarded to students as they complete career-readiness tasks including career exploration exercises, reflections with Career Coaches or skill-building experiences. Students who scored 100 points or more during their time at Augustana were invited to attend.

FAYETTE, IOWA (July 3, 2024) — Upper Iowa University (UIU) has announced it has earned the 2024-2025 Military Friendly School designation.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2024-2025 survey with 537 earning special awards for going above the standard.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 2, 2024) — Nabila Saam, a Psychology, International Business-Management major from Moline, IL, (61265) is one of more than fifteen Augustana College students recently elected to serve as Student Government Association (SGA) senators. Saam was elected Sophomore Class Senator for the 2024-2025 academic year.

WEST HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT (July 2, 2024) — The University of Hartford is pleased to announce that Jenna Willet of Eldridge has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester.

The Dean's List recognizes students achieving superior academic standing. The requirement, with some exceptions, is a grade-point average of at least 3.0 and no grade below C.

The President's List recognizes a select group of students reaching the highest level of academic standing.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (July 2, 2024) — Beginning July 15, Monmouth College will have a new director of student well-being.

Licensed clinical professional counselor Megan McGruder has been named to the position that helps support Monmouth students' mental-health needs. She's spent the past nine years in a related role at nearby Knox College.

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS (July 1, 2024) — Autumn Kelly of Davenport, Iowa, graduated from Emmanuel College on Saturday, May 18, 2024, during the College's 102nd Commencement Exercises on its campus in Boston. Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice during the ceremony. Kelly graduated cum laude.

WHITEWATER, WISCONSIN (July 1, 2024) — More than 1,500 students graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at spring commencement, held May 11, 2024, at Kachel Fieldhouse in the Williams Center.

Since joining the college July 1, 2022, President Talentino has spearheaded facility improvements as well as guided the college in long-range planning to ensure the college’s strong future as a nationally ranked liberal arts institution.

PELLA, IOWA (July 1, 2024) — Central College received a gold award in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education's Circle of Excellence Awards. The award-winning entry was "Forever Dutch Lager" in the marketing/marketing initiatives for a staff of ten to 25 category.
