The City of Davenport Police Department will be conducting precision driving training at Credit Island Park on six different dates this fall. This training allows Davenport Officers to prepare for driving in emergency situations.

Credit Island Park will be closed from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM on the scheduled training dates. Limited bike path access will be available for those utilizing the bike path through Credit Island as it connects to the trail system.

This Labor Day (Monday, September 4), first responders in your area will be recognized with special lunch.

All of Olive Garden’s 800 restaurants nationwide will deliver and serve a special “thank you” lunch to a first responder organization in their community. This is the 16th consecutive year that Olive Garden has coordinated this nationwide effort.

New law will help law enforcement focus on reducing crime

CHICAGO (Aug. 28, 2017) – Gov. Bruce Rauner today signed Senate Bill 31 – the TRUST Act – which will continue Illinois’ history of welcoming immigrants and help law enforcement focus on stopping violent crime and protecting Illinois residents.

Governor, Lieutenant Governor visit historic sites, first state capital on Illinois Constitution Day

This week, I visited nearly every corner of our Congressional District to discuss our Better Deal for the Heartland economic agenda. A critical component of this work is getting input from hardworking families in our communities as we work collaboratively to develop regional solutions that will create more good-paying jobs and strengthen our local economy. Refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection will be one day late during the week of the Labor Day holiday. The Drop-Off Center located at Millennium Waste, 13606 Knoxville Road, Milan will be open on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 12 noon. City of Rock Island offices will be closed on Labor Day (Monday, September 4th).

CHICAGO (Aug. 24, 2017) – General Counsel Dennis Murashko will leave the Administration at the end of August to pursue opportunities in the private sector. As part of the legal team's succession planning, Kenton Skarin will assume the role of Acting General Counsel to the Governor. He currently is serving as the Governor's Deputy General Counsel and is responsible for managing all aspects of legal operations within the Administration.
