(DES MOINES) – Gov. Kim Reynolds announced appointments to Iowa’s boards and commissions Friday.

The following appointment is unpaid and is subject to Senate confirmation:

Engineering and Land Surveying Examining Board

Council of State Governments Midwestern Radioactive Materials Transportation

The City of Davenport Police Department will be conducting precision driving training at Credit Island Park on six different dates this fall. This training allows Davenport Officers to prepare for driving in emergency situations.

Credit Island Park will be closed from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM on the scheduled training dates. Limited bike path access will be available for those utilizing the bike path through Credit Island as it connects to the trail system.

This Labor Day (Monday, September 4), first responders in your area will be recognized with special lunch.

All of Olive Garden’s 800 restaurants nationwide will deliver and serve a special “thank you” lunch to a first responder organization in their community. This is the 16th consecutive year that Olive Garden has coordinated this nationwide effort.
