Funding Helps Improve Streets, Transit Facilities and Other Structures to Spur Economic Growth and Create Jobs

WASHINGTON, Dec. 14, 2017 – Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue today highlighted U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) investments in Fiscal Year 2017 that will help construct or improve infrastructure and boost economic growth in rural communities.

City of Davenport will observe Christmas Eve & Christmas Day as holidays on Monday, December 25th and Tuesday, December 26th. All City of Davenport offices & the Public Works Center will be closed. Police Department front desk and records office will be closed. Library Main, Fairmount and Eastern branches will be closed. River’s Edge facility will be closed on Sunday, December 24th & Monday, December 25th and open normal business hours (7a-7p) on Tuesday, December 26th.

First Ward Alderman Rick Dunn invites you to his ward meeting on Saturday, December 16th 10:00am at the Roosevelt Community Center; 1220 Minnie Avenue.

Alderman Dunn will provide updates on city related matters and open the meeting up to residents for questions, comments & concerns.

(DES MOINES) – Gov. Kim Reynolds ordered all flags in Iowa at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Thursday, Dec. 7, in honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Flags will be at half-staff on the State Capitol Building and on flag displays in the Capitol Complex. Flags will also be half-staff on all public buildings, grounds and facilities throughout the state.
