German Fest will be held 6–10PM, Friday, October 14, 2022, in Kaiserslautern Square (K-Square), 119 E 3rd St. The event is co-produced by the German American Heritage Center (GAHC) and Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP).

Bring personal documents in for secure destruction by Shred-it, using an on-site document-destruction truck. Those participating are asked to limit documents to two normal-size file/paper boxes of documents per vehicle.

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 1, 2022) — On August 31, The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors awarded a total of nearly $10 million in federal housing-tax credits to support the construction of a total of 385 affordable-rental homes for Iowans. The awards were made to eleven rental-housing projects located in Adel, Audubon, Bondurant, Boone, Carroll, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Grinnell, Hiawatha, Ottumwa, and Winterset.
