WASHINGTON – Today, the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) Secretary-Treasurer Ian Cunningham testified before the US House Committee on Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry about the importance of soil-health practices.

Cunningham owns and operates a fifth-generation family farm with his son in southwest Minnesota, producing corn, soybeans and beef cattle.

QUAD-CITIES — Xstream Cleanup, in response to record flooding,  is seeking volunteers for a one-day, region-wide flood cleanup on Saturday, June 29, 8-11AM. Xstream Cleanup volunteers have identified six areas in our region where volunteers can assist in the recovery from the recent flooding.

Multiple cleanup sites are located in Buffalo and Davenport, Iowa; and Hampton and Moline, Illinois.

WASHINGTON DC (June 20, 2019) — Today, the US House Agriculture Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities and Risk Management Chairman Filemon Vela held a hearing on Crop Insurance, Risk Management, and Federal Disaster Programs, “How Farm Policy Helps Farmers in Adverse Conditions.” The hearing included six witnesses discussing the economic hardships and extreme-weather conditions farmers and ranchers face and how current farm policies help address those challenges.
