ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 29, 2019) — Join the Quad City Botanical Center (QCBC) and Rock Island Parks and Recreation as we journey to Hazelton, Iowa, home to one of Iowa’s largest Amish communities.

Experience this unique culture with the help of a step-on guide. With horse and buggies passing by, we will visit several Amish country stores, tour an Amish farm and home, and savor all the flavors of a home-cooked Amish meal.

DES MOINES, IOWA (May 15, 2019) — The Iowa Environmental Council has welcomed Ingrid Gronstal Anderson as the organization’s new Water Program Director. Gronstal Anderson joins the Des Moines-based nonprofit from Iowa City, where she most recently worked in environmental compliance at the University of Iowa.
