Gov Kim Reynolds Announces Employer Innovation Fund and Child Care Challenge Funding Opportunities

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 13, 2021) — Governor Kim Reynolds announced two Future Ready Iowa grant opportunities for totaling $1.2 million. The Future Ready Iowa Employer Innovation Fund is designed to expand opportunities for Iowans to earn post-secondary credentials leading to high-demand jobs and encourage Iowa employers, community leaders, and others to collaborate to support regional workforce-talent development.

Iowa PBS Presents 2021 Iowa State Dance Team Championships

The two-hour program showcases highlights of all the winning routines and features interviews with coaches and dancers. The competition will be rebroadcast Sunday, January 31, 1PM.

Gov Kim Reynolds Signs New Proclamation Modifying Public-Health Measures

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 8, 2020) - As of January 7, Governor Kim Reynolds has signed a new Public Health Disaster proclamation that modifies existing public-health measures designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The proclamation continues to require that when people are in an indoor public space, and unable to social-distance for 15 minutes or longer, masks are required to be worn.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 5, 2021) — Anyone who has dreamed of becoming a published poet, may make his or her dream come true through the Iowa Poetry Association's (IPA) 2021 Lyrical Iowa Poetry Contest. Lyrical Iowa is IPA's annual anthology of poetry published since 1946 featuring more than 300 poems. The contest is open to anyone with an Iowa address.
