DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 22, 2020) — After selecting a new date for the 35th Annual Mississippi Valley Blues Festival (MVBS) earlier this year, and initiating organization and planning, the Board of Directors has decided it is in the best interest of fans, artists, and vendors to cancel a live Blues Fest until the ongoing pandemic is far behind us.
DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 1, 2020) — The River Music Experience is expanding its new Curbside Concerts program thanks to a generous sponsorship gift from Russell Construction. The program, which began April 23, brings together local musicians and RME staff to provide live music in neighborhoods and community sites throughout the Quad Cities during a time of social distancing.

Tickets for the original March 18, 2020 date will be valid for the rescheduled date of March 26, 2021.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 18, 2020) — In 1985 Ronald Regan was President; "We Are The World" was recorded by the band USA for Africa; Back to the Future was the highest-grossing film of the year; and a small group of Quad Cities-area Blues fans organized and held the first-ever Mississippi Valley Blues Fest in Davenport, Iowa. This festival is now one of the oldest established Blues Festivals in the US.
