The Davenport Zither Ensemble will put on their holiday concert on Sunday, November 26 at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2363 West 3rd Street, Davenport. The performance begins at 2pm.

IOWA CITY—Humanities Iowa is pleased to announce that Peter Drahozal recently joined its Board of Directors.

Peter Drahozal earned a BA in Music and Mass Communications at St. Ambrose University, as well as an MA in Music Education from the University of Iowa. He spent 10 years as a band director in several schools throughout Iowa.

ROCK ISLAND, IL (11/02/2017)-- For the first time in its history, the Augustana Symphony Orchestra will take its act on the road, performing concerts in the Chicago area Nov. 3 and 4.

DAVENPORT - Registration for the River Music Experience's Ellis Kell Winter Blues Camp 2017 is now open. The camp lasts for five days, December 26-30, with workshops and rehearsals from 1 to 5 p.m. each day. At the end of the week there is a performance and blues jam by the students in the Redstone Room for all of their friends and families.
 
The Wild West only lasted three decades – from 1865 to 1895 – but those years will forever be remembered for their boundless energy and rollicking sense of adventure. That time period was known for cowboys, American Indians, gunslingers, pioneers, outlaws, and more. On November 4 and 5, you won’t need a time machine to celebrate that chapter of American history.
