DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 13, 2020) — On Wednesday, April 15, a Care-A-Van decorated with messages of thanks from Buddhists, Jews, Christians, Muslims, and Humanists will make its way to four nursing homes on the Iowa side of the River  On Wednesday, April 22, beginning at noon, a similar caravan will make its way to four nursing homes on the Illinois side of the river (listed below).

 

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (April 13, 2020) — On Friday, April 10, members of the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities helped distribute 10 pallets of fresh produce from River Bend Foodbank in the parking lot of St Mark's Anglican Church in Sivis, along with members of the church and leaders of the Silvis School District.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (April 9, 2020) — To meet the needs of people living in western Illinois dealing with the COVID-19 crisis, four local funders have announced a Rapid Response Fund with immediate assistance of $325,000 distributed this week.

QUAD CITIES — Quad Citizens raised $102,376 on Monday, April 6, during the 24-hour “Unite Quad Cities for COVID-19 Recovery” giving event spearheaded by KWQC TV6, The Quad-City Times, United Way of the Quad Cities, and the Quad Cities Community Foundation.

All contributions supported the Quad Cities Disaster Recovery Fund at the Quad Cities Community Foundation.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 26, 2020) — The Humane Society of Scott County of announces it has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support purchase of new medical equipment to care for lost, abandoned, and unwanted animals in Scott County.

The Petco Foundation investment will help to purchase upgraded equipment that is typically used upon intake of animals and to monitor their health during their stay at the shelter.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (March 2, 2020) — Nearly 2,000 girl’s lives are being changed through a new Girl Scouts community-outreach program.
