BETTENDORF, IOWA (June 13, 2023) — Churches United of the Quad City Area will once again partner with local businesses and churches for Thanksgiving in July, a state-wide, non-perishable food and essential items drive. Churches United competes with other food collection agencies in Iowa to see who can collect the most goods for their community.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (June 9, 2023) — The Quad Cities Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2023 Operations and Program Grant program. This year, the Community Foundation will award over $486,000 to non-profit organizations in the Quad Cities region.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 8, 2023) — The Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) announced it will allocate up to $100,000 to help businesses that were forced to close due to the building collapse at 324 Main St.

Additionally, the Quad Cities Chamber and DDP have partnered with the Quad Cities Community Foundation to accept donations from businesses and individuals through the newly established Downtown Business 324 Main Disaster Relief Fund to help directly affected businesses.

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (June 6, 2023) — Landmarks Illinois is excited to announce that it has donated the iconic Ebony Test Kitchen from the former Johnson Publishing Company Building in Chicago to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) located in Washington DC. The test kitchen will be a part of the museum’s permanent collection.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 6, 2023) — The Family Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial cooperative serving those in the Quad Cities area, will be launching its eighth Family Discount Mondays program this summer to support local non-profit organizations. This year's dates are June 12, 19, and 26, and July 3, 10, and 17. Discount Days gives all members of the community an opportunity to visit Quad City attractions at a greatly discounted admission rate.
