DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 21, 2022) — The American Red Cross of Illinois is pleased to announce three new members have joined the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois chapter’s Board of Directors. The chapter welcomes Ashley Hendon, Randy Moore, and Jenny Parvin as board members.

Ashley Hendon is a commercial relationship manager for Wells Fargo. She has worked for Wells Fargo for more than fifteen years, in multiple roles.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (September 20, 2022) — The African American Museum of Iowa (AAMI) is unveiling a new exhibit, Suspended: Systemic Oppression in Our Schools, on Friday, October 14. This original exhibit examines the role public schools play in funneling students into the prison system. Elements of the criminal justice system have entered public schools around the country, resulting in zero-tolerance policies and student policing that disproportionately affect children of color.

CORALVILLE, IOWA (September 20, 2022) — The Iowa Women’s Foundation (IWF) is launching the public phase of a campaign that will raise $3 million dollars to establish a Legacy Fund. JOHNSTON, IOWA (August 15, 2022) — The Iowa Public Broadcasting Board, the governing body for Iowa PBS, has announced the election of Courtney Maxwell Greene as the network's board president. The nine-member board also elected Angie Anderson as vice president. Greene has served on the board since 2013 and as board vice president since 2019. Anderson was appointed to the board in 2020. They were elected unanimously at the board's August 10 meeting and will serve one-year terms.
