DES MOINES, IOWA (November 18, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds recently proclaimed November 16-24 as Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week in Iowa, joined by members of the Iowa Council on Homelessness.

Iowa joins with the National Coalition for the Homeless, the National Student Campaign against Hunger and Homelessness as well as more than 700 other organizations throughout the country in bringing awareness to the pressing issues of hunger and homelessness.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 14, 2019) — Students from 17 area high schools joined at River Bend Foodbank to celebrate their accomplishments over the past 6 weeks. This year, students provided 568,317 meals to help feed the hungry in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (October 22, 2019) — The popular, annual fundraiser is underway to help 130 children receive their Christmas wish — a bicycle. According to organizer Sandy Seeley, many local children put a bicycle on their Christmas wish-list, but, sadly, many do not receive one because their families cannot afford it.
