Sen Charles "Chuck" Grassley Seeks Information on Human-Rights Violators Fraudulently Entering and Settling in the Country

WASHINGTON DC (October 24, 2019) — Senator Charles "Chuck" Grassley is asking for details on individuals who have committed serious human-rights violations and then fraudulently sought refuge in the United States. Today, Sen Grassley sent a letter to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Acting Director Matthew Albence seeking information on Operation No Safe Haven V, an operation that targeted human-rights violators who were able to enter the United States despite their past crimes.

Hawki Program Celebrates 20 Years

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 22, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds joins the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) in celebrating 20 years of the Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa (Hawki) program. Hawki provides free or low-cost health-coverage to children and families whose income is too high to qualify for Medicaid, but too low to afford individual or employer-provided health care.
