DES MOINES, IOWA (June 7, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation today for Fremont County in response to severe weather beginning May 17 and continuing.

The governor's proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of this severe weather and activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program for qualifying residents, along with the Disaster Case Management Program, for Fremont County.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 6, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds experienced chest-pain earlier today, and out of an abundance of caution went to the emergency-room to seek medical-care. The governor was seen by a physician. Her blood tests, chest x-rays, and electrocardiogram (EKG) test were all normal. She has been released from the hospital and is back working at the Capitol.

WASHINGTON DC (June 6, 2019) — Representative Dave Loebsack announced today that the Muscatine Municipal Airport will receive a $150,000 grant from the US Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant program. The funding will be used to rehabilitate 4,000 feet of Runway 12/30 and 4,800 feet of Taxiway B to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement and to minimize foreign-object debris.
